MOTOFEST BIKE SHOW

MotoFest, already a well-loved tradition in the racing world in the first week of March each year, has just got a whole lot better. Now a fully-fledged motorcycle show in its own right, there will be bikes galore to view, some to test ride, and others to covet in between the racing action at Hampton Downs. Running March 6-8 this coming March, the centrepiece is the NZSBK Championship round, with all the excitement of the best riders battling it out and some legends of the sport there to entertain as well. Aaron Slight, Andrew

Stroud and others will be there, along with Simon Crafar’ s winning Yamaha YZR500 and expect to see it and the Britten head out on track to strut their stuff. A true event for all enthusiasts, grab some mates, head to the track, go into the $ 10,000 draw, peruse the latest accessories and bikes and soak up the atmosphere. Book early as you do not want to miss this one … https:// www. nzsuperbikeseries. co. nz / motofestbikeshow

LOW MAINTENANCE LATIN

Ducati has commenced production of the new

Monster. This new beast is not only lighter on the road but with 45,000km valve clearance checks, it is also easier on time and your wallet with the stunning new service intervals. The Monster, powered by the new V2 engine, also follows the V4 Panigale with a doublesided swingarm and partial monocoque frame, shaving 4kg off the previous model and making the handling even sharper. Also new is the lower seat, now 815mm( lower still with the optional lowering kit at 775mm) and slightly higher and forward-mounted handlebars.
