At the ripe old age of 18 . Cormac already has six national titles to his name and has been racing against the best in Europe for four seasons in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup and then the FIM JuniorGP World Championship . This season , with AGR Racing , saw him finish superbly , racing bar-to-bar in the leading group , narrowly missing out on the win , crossing the line in a tantalisingly close second but seeing the New Zealand flag fly on the podium for a third time and secured fifth in the series . Recently he secured a pole position as well , showing he is rapidly getting faster and faster with experience and the strength that comes with age . Not just quick , Buchanan is seen as the complete package as a racer , from his ability to work with his AGR team , who he says were critical in his development , to his work ethic , Kiwis can watch him in the big game , knowing he is representing everything we could ask for .
