July 2021 was the official release from Triumph that the UK-based brand would jump back into off-road racing . But perhaps the biggest surprise was that 12-time AMA SX / MX champion Ricky Carmichael would be a key player in the development process of the company ’ s new dirt models . Following that , five-time enduro champion Ivan Cervantes signed on for the enduro side of the R & D and it was crystal clear Triumph wasn ’ t mucking about .
