final round , so watch this space as the NZSBK season fires into life for the summer . Plenty of close racing will see the Auckland Club members brimming with confidence as their focus turns to the Nationals . Racing throughout the classes was awesome to watch but it would be remiss to not mention the dominant season of Tyler King , going 13 wins from as many starts on the Gavin Veltmeyer built GVR645 . The sidecars always get the crowd going and the Lawrance brothers ( LCR Suzuki 1000 ) took the season ’ s honours in the to-the-wire battle over Phillip Law / Angus Ravernwood pairing on their Windle BMW 1000 outfit . Great result for Chris and Richard Lawrance who have been representing the sidecar family for an undisclosed number of seasons at such events as the AMCC Champs , the IOM TT and
everything in between . The junior classes have been a real hit , with not only the SS300 class but the SS150 class proving a popular entry into racing . Rounding out the day was the Ken Dobson and Carl Cox Motorsport Cup , celebrating fourteen years of racing in that championship . While this group of racers have two more rounds at Motofest to run , the final AMCC round saw their 1 hour endurance race . Oliver Pykett teamed up with Jessie Stroud to take victory over the Billee Fuller / Dave Sharp pairing while in the Hyosung class , Esmond Williams rode solo to win over Jacob Rutherford , also doing the whole race solo . In the cup points , Tyler King maintains a firm grip on the lead but second spot is definitely up for grabs in front of the big crowds that turn out for Motofest .
