RE wanted to keep the easy accessibility of the original Himalayan , and it ’ s fair to say the new bike continues that tradition of making adventure easy for everyone . While pricing is set to be revealed closer to when the bikes arrive early next year , and as always will be a big decider on how competitive the Himalayan will be against its main rivals , early indications are this bike will be just as big a hit – if not more so – than the bike it replaces . think in Kiwi adventure conditions riders would appreciate a more knobbly tyre . On the tar and gravel they matched up to the Himalayan well , but they reach their limits in the mud as an 80 / 20 road-biased tyre . Dynamically , whether it was swinging from tight mountain corner to mountain corner , or navigating a rock-strewn dirt road , the Himalayan 450 impressed with just how easy it made life . It holds its near 200kg weight well and the bike happily carves corners with little effort , while that new TFT dash works as intended with all the must-know info just a quick glance away .
