An optional final section to the gravel route included a section through some sand at the back of Lake Rotoma , offering a challenge at the end of the ride . Good food , a few beers and plenty of boasting and bragging went on into the night , finishing off a great weekend of riding with like-minded riders . We ’ d like to thank BMW Motorrad NZ for supporting this year ’ s GS Rallye event ; the new BMW NZ team looked to be having a great time meeting and greeting riders and gave away almost $ 5000 of genuine BMW luggage and accessories , which the crowd loved . Thanks also to Forbes and Davies , Eurobike and Mitas for supporting the GS Rallye with products to give away at the prize giving . Plans are already coming along for the 2024 edition of the GS Rallye , which is again open to all brands and caters to both adventure and tar-seal riders .
