ROAD NEWS

ITALIAN BIKE WEEK, SEPTEMBER 18-21

Looking for a good excuse to run away from winter? Here is the answer. Sure, there are other things to do while in Europe but imagine sneaking this into the itinerary … Lignano Sabbiadoro, located on the stunning Adriatic Coast, will again be hosting the event that sees tens of thousands of Italian bike fans soak up the atmosphere. There are demo rides from all the Italian brands, enduro loops for the keen dirt riders and the roads of the Adriatic to ride. There is entertainment day and night, all with bike themes and the Italian HOG chapters also join in, so not purely Italian only. For the less interested partners out there, the shopping is fantastic and you won’ t be hampered by the motorcycle addict as she or he will be way too busy to worry about the credit card bashing. Oh, did we mention how warm it is on the Adriatic Coast in September? Sunshine, a warm Mediteranian Sea – and motorcycles. Great coffee goes without saying.

APRILIA TUAREG 660 RALLY PRICE...

Ok, this may sway your decision. The Rally edition of the super capable Aprilia Tuareg will retail here in NZ for only grand more than the base version! That is $ 23,990 + ORC. The even more adventurous Tuareg 660 Rally comes with a buttier( an‘ almost a word’) bash plate, taller seat, the high front guard( shows you are serious), revised suspension and a delicious SC Project exhaust, so great bang for your South Pacific Pesos. The first of the batch will land in September and won’ t linger in the showroom.
