In what is already a hugely successful season, Aprilia’ s Thomas Marini not only took class( M5) honours but also won the overall in the RO Rally Marathon in Romania. The event is part of the European Tout( meaning all in French) Terrain Rally Cup Championship. Unfortunately his teammate, Jacopo Cerutti had an incident involving a car travelling in the opposite direction and broke his tibia and fibula, requiring immediate surgery and he will be off the bike for some time. In fact he will be in‘ complete rest’ mode for five weeks. Cerutti is now back in Italy to recover with family. Aprilia is having great success with the Tuareg and the adventure bikes are making a massive impact in not just rally events but many of the hard enduro races that many never thought would have classes for the road-going beasts. Great to watch.
