FARRES TRIUMPHS...

Guillem Farres and Triumph took the British round of FIM MX2 with a perfect score and with the win came the red plate. He then followed that up in Loket( Czech). Not the perfect score but a 1-2 was enough for the round victory and extended the lead over Sasha Coenen to 33 points. Also Triumph-mounted, Camden McLellan was runner-up, sending the pit into a minor frenzy. Loket was hard and fast, and that was just the surface. Next round is back in the sand. Will the British brand make history in six rounds time? It’ ll be warm flat beer and mushy peas for all if they can pull it off and in Farres’ form, you just never know.

COLE CLOSES IN

Cole Davies picked himself up after a disappointing outing at the previous round and put in a brilliant performance at Washougal, Washington USA. The fast Kiwi slashed the deficit to the lead from 25 points to 7 with a ride that saw him lead 31 of the 32 laps. Series leader, Levi Kitchen was caught up in a multiple rider tangle early in proceedings but managed to fight back to a couple of sixth places to hang on to the red plate, knowing that he just cannot afford to let the flying Kiwi get ahead with his current form being so good. Our money is on Cole getting it done … But then, we are totally biased.
