next round we managed to get a couple days testing , which was really positive , logging some really quick lap times .
BACK TO THE NORTH The two North Island rounds followed at Hamptons Downs and Taupo Motorsport Park . These are two tracks I have very fond memories at and have done loads of laps around . Feeling confident , I felt like I could put on a good showing . My weekend at Hampton Downs started off great with a P3 in qualifying and P5 in race one . Overnight I got thinking and felt like there was something not quite clicking . A talk with the team in the morning and we came up with a setting to try in warm up . “ Don ’ t touch it ”, I said rolling back into the pits . We ’ d got a setting and were ready to race !
MAKING MEMORIES A shocking start in race two had me dropping back to 5th before chipping my way through the field to take 2nd place , knocking a whole second off my best lap time in the process . I race my motorbike for this exact feeling , racing bar-to-bar with two previous New Zealand Superbike Champions Tony
