HUSKY GOES RETRO

Husqvarna ’ s roots in Sweden are linked to the long history of the sport and , since 1960 when Swedish racer Bill Nilsson claimed Husqvarna Motorcycles ’ first of 15 FIM Motocross World Championship titles , the brand has enjoyed a long and illustrious period competing in top-flight motocross . While it was a mixed day for the Husqvarna factory riders , this won ’ t be the last time we see the heritage colours gracing a FC model Husqvarna . Husqvarna motorcycles has indicated fans can expect at the very least an FC450 Heritage Edition for the 2023 model year . Details are expected to drop next month so we ’ ll keep you in the loop on when to expect the extra white Husqvarnas to touch down here in NZ .
If you happened to be watching the recent Swedish GP closely , you might have thought the Husqvarna factory bikes looked a little different to normal . Well , with the brand ’ s roots firmly planted in Swedish soil , Husqvarna Factory Racing chose to honour that heritage with a vintage look for the 2022 MXGP of Sweden . The slick new look didn ’ t just include the bikes either , with riders also donning vintage colours to celebrate the return of the series to the Uddevalla circuit for the first time since 2019 .
