SPOTTED AT MOTOFEST

Andrew Lawrence spotted these fantastic machines at the recent MotoFest event.

1.

Expat Kiwi, Brook Henry, built this Alchemy V2 for globe-trotting ' Freaky Phil Payne ' who raced it all over Europe before returning home. It is one of three built in this configuration and sits nicely next to Dallas Rankines ex Robert Holden, Paul Pavletich and Brian " Aspro " Martin TT2. Next along is the Roger Freeth Bathurst winning McIntosh Suzuki.

2.

Father and son powerhouse, Don and Rodney O ' Connor, with the super-reliable Eurobike Ducati Supermono. The late Robert Holden achieved his one TT victory on a similar machine, and Rodney piloted a Supermono to multiple wins here in New Zealand, and said before heading out on track, " This bike was assembled out of the parts we had to maintain our factory bike, so, like a lot of the legends here, including Dad, it really is a parts bin special!"

3.

The Norton Rotary-inspired Roton belched smoke and flames whenever it was fired up. On Saturday the rider was caught out by an accidentally-engaged switch that generated a dashboard fault warning and wisely parked it. This bike is next level crazy!
