KTM BEAST MODE

KTM’ s Super Duke has always been somewhat of a beast, the R model more so. Now, entering the fight to be KTM’ s roadgoing flagship of grunt, here is the KTM Super Duke RR. That grunt comes via a maximum chestbeating horsepower of 193PS( 189.4hp), accompanied by a mind-twisting 145Nm of torque, and when those two figures hold hands, you’ d want to be hanging on. The nutters, i. e. the performance side of the design team, have chewed the leash and just thrown the kitchen sink at the RR. The now obligatory winglets are there, staying current with the trend of the day. Also lavished upon the RR are the latest MotoGPinspired WP PRO suspension components, the most extensive electronics package ever seen on a KTM and Brembo HyPure Sport front brake calipers. Oh, the exhaust is also a titanium Akrapovic slip-on variety. Viewing the electronic goodness settings is done via a new 8.8-inch TFT screen, and there are a bunch of light and very sexy carbon fibre bits in situ out of the box. In fact, the RR has shed some 11kg from its only-mildy-saner R cousin. It is like the accountants were sent out to get coffee during the project briefing.
