KTM UNLEASHES BRABUS 1300R EDITION 23
Following on from the successful Brabus
1300R of 2022 , KTM and Brabus are back teaming up for 2023 with another run at the limited edition brawler . The Brabus 1300 R Edition 23 , as the new model is called , will once again be built upon the already pretty bonkers KTM 1290 Super Duke Evo and features new signature features and an entirely unique identity of its own . Production will be limited to just 290 units , split in half with 145 examples to be produced in “ Superblack ” while the other half will be clad in “ Stealth Gray ” paint . Availability of the Brabus 1300R Edition 23 is restricted to selected markets only . Sadly , New Zealand ( and Australia for that matter ) is not included in that selection of markets . So what are we missing out on ? Setting the Brabus apart from its KTM base is a luxurious design , which features typical Brabus attention to detail and ultralimited exclusivity . Conceptualised to make a statement and merge pure , luxury-infused energy into the naked bike sector . According to KTM and Brabus , the new Edition 23 represents the best of both brands in its aggressively elegant looks , functionality and power . The added Brabus DNA in the mix includes two legacy paint schemes , forged BRABUS Monoblock Z wheels , high-end carbon body elements and a stylish bespoke seat , with the latter treated with expert attention to detail by the BRABUS interior specialists in Bottrop , Germany . Being based on the 1290 Super Duke Evo , the Brabus makes use of KTM ’ s legendary LC8 V-Twin engine , which produces 180hp at 9500rpm and 140Nm of torque at 8000rpm out of its 1301cc . The engine exhales through a BRABUS dual-pipe slip-on exhaust . The BRABUS 1300 R Edition 23 maintains and expands its ‘ Black and Bold ’ identity with a collection of new features . A distinctive headlight screen , complete with exposedcarbon side fairing , power domes as well as BRABUS Signature Stripes in the air scoop accentuates the Edition 23 ’ s unique face . Redesigned side panels and air ducts serve as a further homage to decades of experience in processing pre-preg carbon fibre .
