KTM ’ S HOT RC 8C RETURNS FOR 2024
KTMs purest expression of track ambition is back for the 2024 model year , with just 100 bikes set to be let loose on racetracks around the world . But , sadly for Kiwis , our local tracks won ’ t be among them . KTM New Zealand has confirmed that , unlike the 2023 version of the RC 8C , the 2024 model will not be offered here . Why ? That ’ s probably because not only are there still 2023 bikes available , the 2024 model is limited to just 100 examples worldwide . So , what makes it so special ? Well , unlike other racers , the KTM RC 8C is not a dressed up street bike ; the 2024 KTM RC 8C has been crafted hand-in-hand with Krämer Motorcycles , standing as testament to their collaborative mastery in sculpting a bona fide racing machine .
At first glance , it boasts Carbon Kevlar bodywork inspired by the KTM RC16 , with a 135hp , 889cc , LC8c DOHC 8-valve parallel twin at its heart . This is all bolted to a purpose-built 25CrMo4 steel tubular frame , enhancing its race-readiness with top-tier WP Pro components and a suite of lightweight components . With features like quick-release tank and body panels , lightweight Dymag wheels , and Pirelli race slicks , this track-only bike leaves no doubt about its intended purpose . To go flat out on track . Up front is a high-performance 43 mm WP APEX PRO 7543 closed cartridge fork , tailored for track use and the demands of performanceoriented riders and seasoned racers alike .
