It will come as no surprise to those with a passion for the road less travelled , that Kriega gear is basically the Swiss army knife of the motorcycle luggage world . So , when on a recent trip I needed a bit more luggage than just my two Kriega OS-12 packs , I decided to expand the system . Putting the call through to the motogear . co . nz team saw the Kriega US- 20 on my doorstop within 24 hours .
VERSATILITY I ’ ve been using the OS-Base and two OS-12 packs , which have been good . So , I was looking forward to see how the US-20 shaped up in comparison . Put simply , the US-20 is a 20L pack , with a
102 KIWI RIDER roll-top , Cordura outer with a removable seamtapped inner . The outer is equipped with more loops , straps , and options than you can shake a stick at . Kriega includes a bunch of different straps so you can pretty much mount the pack anywhere on the bike , and mount other luggage to it . For example , to mount my two OS-12 packs to my Tenere 700 , I can either use the OS-Base , or I can tie the US-20 pack down to some mounting loops under the pillion seat and hook the OS-12s to either side , effectively replacing the OS-base .
