I ’ ve found that the better a venting system works , and the more air that ’ s shifted through the lining / shell , the noisier a helmet tends to be . It ’ s the same with this – there ’ s an increase in internal noise with the vents open – but it ’ s not particularly loud , unlike some race-specific helmets I ’ ve worn . The lining is fully removable and washable , so even the sweatiest riders can keep the helmet clean inside . Talking of the lining , that ’ s probably the nicest in any helmet I ’ ve worn . It ’ s super soft and comfortable , yet still manages to wick sweat without getting saturated . Being a race-focused design it comes with emergency pull-tabs , which allow the cheek pads to be removed to make it easier for emergency services to remove the helmet without putting additional stress on an injured rider ’ s spine .
