SHIVER
Staying with the naked theme, the Shiver seems
very much like its sibling, the Dorsoduro, when
you are under way. Great tractable motor but
it seems like there’s a bit less power to launch
it out of turns. I soon found that these motors
reward short bursts of throttle between gear
shifts (the gear lever was set too high). There
really is no use revving the be-jesus out of them.
Compared to the Dorsoduro, which looks aggressive
but isn’t, the Shiver is sharper and can be ridden
more aggressively. It’s definitely more manageable
in the tight stuff when trying to go fast. Something
of a wolf in sheep’s clothing with the Shiver.
RSV4 FACTORY
Poppa BEAR doesn’t seem angry. It’s more like you
are in the best game there is, and you’re barely, just
barely keeping up and Poppa BEAR, the RSV4, is
loping along seemingly saying “Come on boy... don’t
you want to play?”. If only I could push much harder,
I’d be able to get to experience the ‘big boy’ fun.
I’d love to tell what the RSV4 feels like when you’re
drifting it close to its limits. Truth is, the hot humid
day and the RSV4 wrung me out and left me on
the garage floor like a discarded carcase. That
