TM’s Freeride 250F is something of a
jack-of-trades trail bike. It’s seemingly
three machines rolled up into a single
whole; one part trials bike, one part enduro
and one part trail bike. Sounds great... but
doesn’t the saying go... Jack of all trade,
master of none?. Well, the Freeride might
not be a master of any of those three
disciplines... but it sure as hell is pretty damn
good at all of them!
happily rock hop, cruise through single track
with aplomb, flow nicely in sandy whoops
– as long as you don’t push too hard – and
skip along fire roads with ease. This is all
done whisper quietly too, thanks to the
dual mufflers and without the rider even
beginning to raise a sweat. I’m not a fan
of noisy trail bikes, I much prefer a quiet
machine because they just seem to make the
day go better, with less fuss, less fatigue and,
