AUSSIE FUND RAISER
TOPS RIDESUNDAY CHART
ith 1300 riders, 239 events globally,
134,259km pledged and almost
$200,000 raised for charity, Ride
Sunday 2018 firmly cemented itself
as the international day of riding for a cause.
Supported by Harley-Davidson Motorcycles,
REV’IT!, Triumph Motorcycles, and Royal
Enfield, participants took to the streets on
Sunday June 3 raising funds and awareness in
support of 59 beneficiary charities registered
upon the Ride Sunday platform - www.
ridesunday.com.
Mark Wotherspoon raised a tremendous
$20,444 for White Ribbon Australia, securing
himself as the highest fundraiser globally.
Mark was rewarded with a motorcycle of his
choice for his efforts and selected Harley-
Davidson.
Mark received his brand new motorcycle at
Harley-Heaven, Sydney, from Ride Sunday
Founder Mark Hawwa, and Harley- Davidson
Australia’s Marketing Director, Keith Waddell.
Mark selected the 2018 Harley-Davidson Fat
Bob ($27,495 AUD), and Harley-Davidson
delivered it with a Milwaukee-Eight 114
engine, a 2-into-1 exhaust system and stage 1
heavy breather kit.
White Ribbon Australia showed their support
and thanks to Mark for his efforts. They were
presented with a cheque for the total amount
they received from their registered riders in
Ride Sunday 2018.
White Ribbon Australia is a primary
prevention organisation working to prevent
men’s violence against women, by raising
awareness, engaging men and educating
the community on preventing men’s
violence against women. All funds raised
support prevention programmes and the
development of educational material used for
changing attitudes and behaviours that result
in men’s violence against women.
The team at Ride Sunday are calling upon all
riders, all social riding groups, all motorcycle
manufacturers, registered charities and
motorcycle media partners to jump aboard
the global movement and lock June 2 2019
firmly into their calendars. You could be
rewarded with a brand new motorcycle for
your efforts in Ride Sunday 2019.
