and in the process became a firm friend with
Rose. “He commented after our ride to Milford
Sound that it was “The best motorcycle day
ride of his life.” Over the past 13 years Rose said
they had honed their offerings on the path to
establishing a motorcycle tourism company
which has successfully emerged with a global
reputation for the quality of service it provides.
They have won Global Luxury Tourism awards
for being the best motorcycle tourist company
in Australasia, and last year were inducted into
the Trip Advisors Hall of Fame in the wake of
five years of primarily 5-star reviews.
Seven years ago they were also invited to be
the official travel partner of BMW Motorrad
in this country. “We are proud of what we do,”
Rose said. “We travel the world exhibiting at
motorcycle shows selling New Zealand as a
destination, and motorcycling as the best way
to experience the country.”
In reference to these current times, Rose said
they were adapting to the “new reality”.
They were now offering tours with a “ride your
own bike” option with a reduced price, or take
one of theirs. They offer guided tours with a lead
rider and support vehicle to carry one’s luggage,
as well as seat for passengers who may want a
break from the bike.
Rose says they have also developed self-guided
tours, where they pre-programmed a motorcycle
GPS, to provide “the best motorcycle roads
door to door on a daily basis, and tour book with
where to stop, what to see and do and with cafe
and restaurant recommendations.”
“Both guided and self-guided tours now have
a ‘ride your own’ option with reduced pricing,”
Rose said, adding they now had bases in
Christchurch and Auckland.
“Our ethos has always been to give people
what we would want the best of everything.”
Which includes anyone who fancies a ride on
a late model BMW as all they need to do is
give the Paradise crew a call and sort a rental.
He says, “Do yourself a favour and discover,
or rediscover, the absolute joy and wonder of
riding a motorcycle in New Zealand.”
