Sitting at the top of Vespa’s range, the GTS 300 Super Tech not only
has style – it’s got some decent go from the motor too.

W
hat differences are apparent to me as I ride the new Super Tech
Vespa, compared to the 300 GTS I owned about three years back?
Quite a lot as it happens. For starters, the engine upgrades,
boasting about 10-12% more power, do exactly that, upgrade the pulling
power – and at 23.8 bhp the difference in acceleration and zip is actually
quite noticeable.
Vespa’s new flagship model has had more than an engine upgrade
though, and the new dash and TFT screen is testament to the 74-year-old
marque’s arrival in the 21st century proper – but more on that in a sec.
