RS660 TO MAKE TRACK DEBUT
AT APRILIA ALL STARS
A
prilia has announced that the very cool new
RS660 middleweight will be making its track
debut at the upcoming Aprilia All Stars event
at Mugello, Italy, in May.
Last year at the inaugural Aprilia All Stars, more than
10,000 Aprilia enthusiasts saddled up and invaded
the Italian track in an extraordinary show of love for
Aprilia’s bikes and racing.
It is precisely off the back of this event that Aprilia All
Stars 2020 picks up, once again calling all enthusiasts
to come together. The second edition of Aprilia’s fan
festival, which is free and open to all motorcyclists,
will be held on Saturday May 9. So, you’ll just need to
book a plane ticket to Tuscany and get an Uber to the
Mugello track (roughly $1260).
Aprilia promises that it will be an unforgettable day
on the track to celebrate one of the most victorious
brands in motorcycle racing, its history, its bikes and
its champions of past and present. Among them will
be the Aprilia MotoGP team riders and the RS-GP
prototypes that compete in the World Championship
GP Motorcycle Racing premier class.
However, this event is designed down to the ground
for the fans. A range of entertainment activities will be
set up in the Mugello paddock, from music, meetings
with the riders, an exhibit of the Aprilia range, an area
dedicated to eSports and shopping for Aprilia and
Aprilia Racing branded apparel, food areas and much
more.
The anxiously awaited Aprilia RS660 – which we’re
pretty sure is about to put a rocket up the arse of
the middleweight sports category – will be on display
too. Aprilia says, “The new sports bike from Noale is
built to inspire a new generation of motorcyclists and,
better yet, will be available for all to admire for the first
time in action”. What this means is a little ambiguous,
but seeing and hearing the bike in anger will surely be
a treat.
