the handling is agile and confidence-inspiring.
The overall feel is of being light and manageable,
with the chassis exuding a reliable and
trustworthy feel. In general the suspension is
plush, but still firm with a very controlled and
comfortable reaction to most everything the
tracks could throw at it. The CRF250R has
certainly got a the chassis package
completely nailed.
As has been the case for many years the 250R’s
ergonomics are superb. It’s slim, comfortable,
nothing catches on your gear, and the new
footpegs are super grippy too. Overall, it feels
roomy without being large and yet small
without feeling cramped – it’s great, end of story.
Nissin brakes control the stopping and are
faultless. At both ends the stopping is
powerful and very easy the modulate. It’s
controlled stopping with excellent feel and
perfect ease of use on all surfaces from truly
slippery to hard packed.
The CRF250R is an excellent bike and a terrific
package. The build quality is superb. The engine
performance is right there… if not quite class
leading. The chassis, handling and suspension are
top drawer. Again, the ergonomics and brakes
