Jay Lawrence led the way in Race 1 on Saturday, coming home in 9th place and 1.8 seconds ahead of team mate John Reynolds on the ex-Dunlop GSX-R. Aaron Morris of Australia topped the charts in both sessions on Day 2 with Reynolds taking 10th and 9th places The Aussies took out the first four places in Race 3, with just 0.157 seconds separating first to third positions, with John Reynolds coming home in 10th place. The fourth and final race saw Reynolds secure 8th position, leaving him in 7th equal position for the Ken Wootton Perpetual Trophy and Team NZ in 3rd place for 112 KIWI RIDER the International Challenge. UK-based Team NZ Rider Michael Neeves summed up the weekend by saying, “Despite the results it’s still been a weekend to remember, surrounded by good people and fast team mates”. For any form of MotorSport, Phillip Island is a dream location. Fast flowing track, great scenery and excellent visibility of the racing from all around the track. Coupled with the opportunity to get up close and personal with the bikes, the riders and the teams, the International Island Classic should be a must do event on any motorcycle racing fan’s calendar.
