and sticky qualifying session on Friday. Jay
Lawrence led the way in Race 1 on Saturday,
coming home in 9th place and 1.8 seconds

ex-Dunlop GSX-R. Aaron Morris of Australia

Race 3, with just 0.157 seconds separating first
to third positions, with John Reynolds coming
home in 10th place. The fourth and final race
saw Reynolds secure 8th position, leaving him
in 7th equal position for the Ken Wootton
Perpetual Trophy and Team NZ in 3rd place for

the International Challenge.
UK-based Team NZ Rider Michael Neeves
summed up the weekend by saying, “Despite
the results it’s still been a weekend to
remember, surrounded by good people and
fast team mates”.
For any form of MotorSport, Phillip Island
is a dream location. Fast flowing track, great
scenery and excellent visibility of the racing
from all around the track. Coupled with the
opportunity to get up close and personal
with the bikes, the riders and the teams, the
International Island Classic should be a must
do event on any motorcycle racing
fan’s calendar.
