430 four-stroke I ’ m used to . I found a small , open area with a few logs and other obstacles to play on , and surprised myself . I was able to do things on the 300 that I had never been able to do on the 430 . I happened to be aboard the 300 when we came around a corner and the trail opened into a long straight . I wound on the power clicking up through the gears and felt right at home . Could I become a two-stroke guy ? More research is needed , but it ’ s entirely possible . I completely understand why 300 two-strokes are dominating in the world of Enduro and hard- Enduro . I think following that ride , I would be more than happy to have been taking the 300 Racing home instead of the RR430 .
DAD-BOD RACING WILL BE BACK It was brilliant to get out and ride with my mate Mat again , and experience what is easily the biggest and best trail riding event in NZ . If you have not been to Berm Buster before , I can highly recommend it . With over 2000 people riding over the two days , it was busy , but there are so many trails that once out in the bush , you don ’ t see many people and the trails don ’ t get rutted up and ruined . Top tip ... get there early for a good carpark and to avoid queues at sign-on . The RR430 is back home now , clean and ready to go again . So am I , once the sore muscles recover . Let ’ s not let it be another 15 months before the next ride , Mat . # DadBodRacing
