2022 HONDA AFRICA TWINS DEBUT

It ’ s hard to believe we ’ re nearly two years into the production of Honda ’ s CRF1100L Africa Twins , but the Japanese manufacturer has rammed this home by debuting the 2022 model year machines this month . While visually you might think that Honda has gone for the ol ’ Bold New Graphics approach for its first update of the 1100 Africa Twin , there are a handful of useful refinements for both the base bike and Adventure Sports version . For 2022 both bikes receive updates to increase their daily practicality . The CRF1100L Africa Twin now features an aluminium rear carrier as standard , and the Adventure Sports benefits from a new 110mm lower 5-stage adjustable screen that improves visibility and doesn ’ t compromise on weather protection .

Both DCT versions of the Africa Twin and Africa Twin Adventure Sports are updated for 2022 , with new refined settings to deliver even smoother handling in the first two gears from a standing start and at low speeds . To complete the 2022 upgrades , both models receive new colour and graphic updates . The Adventure Sports features new ‘ Cracked Terrain ’ graphics , while the base Africa Twin now features a new ‘ Big Logo ’ design with revised colour schemes that feature all-new black aluminium side covers and a bold red rear subframe . No word yet from local Honda distributor Blue Wing Honda on the arrival of the 2022 Africa Twins or if pricing will change with their introduction .
