ANSTEY WINS AGAIN
K
iwi racing hero Bruce Anstey is on
winning form once more, showing
the world he still has the pace to top
the time sheets. The setting for his
recent crop of podiums was the Ulster
GP road races at Dundrod, Northern
Ireland, which took place from August 6-12.
With an average lap speed of 134.089mph
(215.795km/h), the Ulster GP is billed as the
‘World’s Fastest Road Race’. Sitting at fourth
place in the overall winners’ list, Anstey had 12
wins heading into the 2017 races. The Kiwi took
the top step in both the Lightweight and first
Superbike races, taking his tally of race wins to
14 – putting him equal third with Northern Irish
racing legend Phillip McCallan. Anstey also took
second in both the first and second Supersport
races. Anstey’s Superbike win gave the Padgetts
team its first win aboard the Honda RC213V-S.
