Ducati ’ s OG naked ( Original Gangsta - Ed ), the Monster , has undergone another change with the arrival of the 2023 Monster SP . The Monster SP takes the same basic premise of the Monster to a new level . Take one fantastic engine ( in this case Ducati ’ s Testastretta V-twin ), chuck it in a superbike-derived chassis and tie it all together with an upright riding position . It ’ s a sharp recipe which is equally matched by the price of $ 25,900 . Highlights for the Monster SP include a full Öhlins suspension package , Brembo Stylema brake calipers , a Termignoni exhaust and all the electronics you could ask for , to either tame or unleash the Testastretta ’ s 111hp . Visually , the Monster SP follows on from other SP models before it and takes its colours from the 2022 colours of the Ducati Lenovo Team ’ s Desmosedici GP . This is further enhanced by the golden bliss that is the Öhlins NIX30 fork up front and shiny Brembo Stylema brakes . Ducati hasn ’ t just slapped on the bling and sent the bike out to market . They ’ ve clearly thought about making the Monster SP the most high performance bike they can .
