BMW M1000R PUTS SUPER INTO SUPER NAKED

In the world of BMW , the letter M stands for the pinnacle in performance from the Bavarian manufacturer . After launching the ballistic M1000RR in 2018 , BMW is at it again with the M1000R set to join the BMW lineup in 2023 . Power for the “ M R ” is up 45hp on the base S1000R , with 210hp on tap . That ’ s just 2hp less than the M1000RR for reference while torque is listed at the same for both M bikes - 113Nm at 11,000rpm . Compared to the S1000R , peak revs of the M1000R are increased to 14,600rpm . BMW has swapped in a larger rear sprocket for the M bike with 47 teeth compared to the 45 of the S1000R . Additionally , the gear ratios of the 4th ,

5th and 6th gears are shorter on the M bike , which BMW says benefits thrust and traction at the rear wheel . Visually , the M R stands apart from the S1000R by the addition of the now obligatory winglets on the forward panels to help counter the bike ’ s tendency to wheelie as well as helping to achieve even faster lap times on the racetrack and the best possible riding stability at high speeds . BMW says the winglets help put an extra 11kg of front wheel load down at 220km / h thanks to the aerodynamic downforce generated .
