TRIMMED-UP TÉNÉRÉ

Yamaha have given their stupendously successful CP2-powered Ténéré its biggest makeover yet . The fuel tank is further forward and lower down , the suspension has been totally swapped-out for more tuneable units ( probably the biggest complaint from owners ), the ‘ tower dash ’ has received the latest Bluetooth connectivity , including navigation , phone etc and there is a waterproof USB charging port to keep your technology rolling while you explore the backroads and trails . YCC-T as in ‘ Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle ’ means the CP2 engine now has different maps for different needs .

There is also a new rear suspension linkage and now the shorter-of-leg can get a lowered version of the best-selling Yamaha Ténéré 700 . Also adorning the new model is updated styling on the graphics front and , while new tech has been applied , Yamaha has decided to not load it with lashings of features , instead keeping it as simple as possible while adding flexibility to the machine , which should ensure its ongoing popularity with adventure riders around the globe .
