Ten years after the original Freeride E was launched , the new model is a ground-up rethink and uses the latest battery technology and KTM ’ s own drivetrain . Boasting 11kW ( 14.7hp ) of nominal output , 19.2kW ( 25.7hp ) peak power , more than 37Nm of torque , and a top speed of 95 km / h , the motor offers advantages over a traditional combustion engine , being a much quieter and cooler running unit that KTM says is water and dust-proof . The final ride weight is expected to be around 112kg with the new 29kg Lithium-Ion battery in situ . A full charge will take around eight hours and the battery will cope with approx . 1000 charges before it gets to 80 percent charge absorption . Giving trial-esque abilities but having a seat means it will be enduro capable with 2-3 hours of riding time expected in hard conditions .
