TRIUMPH ’ S NEW CAT
Triumph ’ s new Tiger Sport 800 is not simply an upgrade . The new model boasts a new 798cc three-cylinder engine , putting out 84.3kW ( 113hp ) at 10,700rpm and 84Nm at 8500rpm . Importantly , the new engine delivers 90 percent of that torque throughout the entire midrange , making it flexible and easy to stay in the zone , no matter where you are riding .
Ride-by-wire , optimised cornering ABS , Triumph Shift Assist , cruise control , radial front brake calipers , cruise control , Bluetooth connectivity ... the list goes on . The new Tiger Sport also gets a ritzy TFT screen dash , LED lighting and all-new bodywork as is becoming on what is essentially a brand new model . The covers have only just come off the new model , on October 22 , so we are waiting on lead-in times for the new middleweight Tiger but at 214kg on the road , a decently-sized 18.6 litre tank and 16,000km service intervals , we are keen to find out when we can get our paws on one .
