WHY I RIDE ...
How did you get into motorcycling ? “ It sounds ridiculous , but at an impressionable age in 1969 I saw a
picture for Easy Rider in a magazine . I watched the film too many times and then went out and bought a 1964 150cc Vespa , followed by a 1968 180cc one a year later . After a couple of years I went further up the food chain with a 350cc
Suzuki , then a 650 Triumph , and it just went from there .”
What kind of riding do you like ? “ I prefer riding long distances than just going around town . I ’ ve ridden the length of the North Island many times , although I ’ ve stopped trying to set records like I used to . I ’ m seventy
