discs . It certainly looks the business . However , while the calipers are Benelli branded fourpiston items that look the part too , stopping force is not hugely strong and a firm pull of the lever is required for hard braking . The lever feel is okay and of course stopping power is more than adequate , but it could be better . The rear brake is a single 260mm disc with twin piston Benelli caliper and works very well . The ABS works well with with no unnecessary , early intervention .
THE TAKEAWAY Overall , the Benelli Leoncino 800 Trail is a handsome retro-styled scrambler machine that is a thoroughly decent ride . It looks every bit the modern Scrambler part , goes well , handles , stop well and is decently priced . It ’ s nicely suited to the everyday commute , weekend jaunts and more . It is a smart look parked outside the local café and no doubt a good conversation starter with that Benelli badge on the tank . A thoroughly enjoyable machine .
