very well . As speeds increase it also holds its line without effort . At one stage in the test there was a very slippery , rocky stream crossing that could be taken at high speed with no fear of randomly spearing off into another time zone ... this is helpful for faster riders ! The handling is accomplished and composed with a fairly light overall feeling . Actual weight is 107kg dry , so adding the weight of 9 litres of fuel , oil in the engine and suspension , you ’ ll get the kerb weight . On the plus side that ’ s a decent amount of fuel which is helpful for longer days in the saddle .
I seriously rate Beta ’ s brakes . They are powerful with excellent feel , leaving the rider with a lot of braking confidence . The 260mm rotor up front has a twin piston caliper that gives some real bite and the 240mm rear disc offers stronger and better stopping power than other similar European brands . There ’ s nothing to dislike here .
THE BOTTOM LINE Beta has taken great care and put real thought into these race machines and the build quality is excellent . The dash computer covers
