The 2022 KTM two-stroke motocrossers feature the same chassis and styling refinements as the four-strokes , with a 7.5-litre fuel tank being the main difference other than the engines . All three models in the two-stroke lineup retain the use of a carburettor for 2022 , with a 38mm flatside Mikuni TMX carb . With the use of a carb still , that means there ’ s no electronics for the 125 SX , 150 SX and 250 SX for 2022 , just raw two-stroke power . An interesting development comes in the interchangability of parts between the 125 SX and 150 SX , with the cylinder , cylinder head , and piston able to be swapped between the two without the need to change the crank . As with all KTM products , the 2022
motocrossers benefit from a range of factory Powerparts to enhance the bikes to the owner ’ s tastes , including skid plates , Factory spec triples , FMF pipes and more . Additionally , WP Pro Components bring upgrades to the XACT forks that permit extra adjustability and reinforced internal material to cope with even bigger or harsher conditions . The interior of the Cone Valve forks features less friction and smaller tolerances with higher resistance and lower weight . The same improvements come with the XACT Pro shock with options for more control , comfort and rebound damping . The 2022 KTM SX models will start hitting global KTM dealers from May 2021 onwards , with local arrival yet to be confirmed at the time of writing .
