ES700 . It comes with a Touratech sticker on the bolt packet and has a KTM part number on the box – which makes sense as it ’ s very similar to KTM ’ s own 690 . I had borrowed a rack for my ride south from Auckland – stolen from my buddy Doug ’ s KTM 690 , giving him the GasGas supplied hand holds . It bolted straight on with no need to cut away any of the plastics . His rack ( one from AliExpress I think - it came with his bike – but possibly a copy of the Perun rack ) has more mounting holes , but I ’ m not sure they ’ re more useful . Time will tell .
Anyway , his rack fitted and the pillion hand holds fitted , but this rack didn ’ t quite fit . It took a little juggling to get it all lined up . I started with bolting the rack top plate and side arms all together . It didn ’ t fit . So , I pulled it all apart , bolted the two mounting arms into place loosely , then loosely bolted the top plate to the mounting arms . Once the threads were all wound in without the threat of stripping them , they could all be done up . I had to open up the size of the holes drilled in the plastics to allow the mounting arm dowels / spacers to sit in the right place . I ’ d say be very
