It ’ s happening ... the 2024 GS Rallye is locked and loaded .

If last year ’ s GS Rallye was anything to go by , the 2024 GS Rallye should be a stormer ! In October 2023 more than 200 riders descended upon Rotorua ’ s Lakes Ranch to ride the stunning tar-seal , gravel and challenge sections organised by Kiwi Rider , the BMW Motorcycle Owner ’ s Club and BMW Motorrad NZ . The 2024 event will be even bigger and better ! We ’ ll be putting on a couple of beautiful routes once again - one for gravel riders and one for road riders , with some breakout off-road ‘ challenge ’ sections for those with suitable tyres wanting to push themselves and their bikes a bit further . Gravel and challenge sections will be in Pukemara Forest and at Ben Townley ’ s off-road park at Rainbow Mountain . The GS Rallye isn ’ t just for BMW riders either , it ’ s brand agnostic - we encourage riders of all makes and models to come along for the fun .
Like last year , the HQ will be at Lakes Ranch on the outskirts of Rotovegas . Entrants will be treated to a two-route navigational rally ( road or road / gravel ) for a day of great riding ( with gravel riders getting access to places they could only dream of otherwise ), two evening meals , two breakfasts , an event t-shirt , sticker pack and the safety of a sweep vehicle . BMW Motorrad NZ and some of our suppliers will be providing some fantastic spot prizes over the course of the event too . With some of the best riding in New Zealand , great company , plenty of good food , spot prizes and lots of social banter with like-minded riders ... what ’ s not to like ? We might even get the time to put on a moto-gymkhana on the sportsfield . Come along and join us in Rotorua over the weekend of September 20-22 .
