HANGING FROM A SKYHOOK Suzuki Floating Ride Control ( SFRC ) is Suzuki ’ s intelligent damping adjustment which adjusts as you ride with the intention of keeping the unsprung parts of the bike ( everything above the springs in the suspension ) level and stable . The idea is that the chassis is figuratively hung from a hook in the sky while the wheels go up and down with the bumps and undulations in the road , effectively isolating the rider and passenger from the road . This is done in real time with the IMU ( Inertial Measurement Unit ) and the Suzuki Road Adaptive Stabilisation ( SRAS ). The bike detects the road surface conditions and adjusts the
level of skyhook effect and throttle response for agility on smooth roads and comfort on uneven roads . THE SKINNY Sitting between the adventure V-Strom and sports-touring GSX-S1000GT , Suzuki ’ s GSX- S1000GX is a capable road-venture machine with all the associated benefits of long-ish travel selfadjusting suspension , good weather protection and comfort in a somewhat sports-touring oriented chassis . If your goal is exploring all our tarmac roads in style and comfort and enjoying an engine and chassis package capable of quick ( and on occasion , very quick ) and safe travel , you really can ’ t go wrong with the GX .
