handlebar fronted by a thin flyscreen places the rider in an upright position for a comfortable and controlled riding experience . The 100 examples of the Del Mar Launch Edition models will be made featuring an exclusive finish and wheel design . The graphics and paint – in a choice of Jasper Gray or Comet Indigo – are applied by hand using a process that takes five days to complete according to LiveWire . The Del Mar Launch Edition model debuts with an MSRP of $ 17,699 USD , while the production version is expected to launch with a target MSRP of $ 15,000 USD . Both of which are significantly cheaper than the LiveWire One ’ s current US pricing of $ 21,999 USD . Harley-Davidson Australia and New Zealand has confirmed that not only will the Del Mar not be heading our way , but that the LiveWire brand as a whole currently has no presence in the Australasian market despite dealers investing large sums of money on charging infrastructure . It is a blow to EV enthusiasts . Aside from the LiveWire when it first arrived , currently there are no EV motorcycles officially distributed in the New Zealand market that fit into the highperformance end of the spectrum . That means that if you want an EV two-wheeler , for now , you ’ re stuck on the equivalent of a scooter unless you import your own .

ROYAL ENFIELD SCRAM 411 PRICING ANNOUNCED

Royal Enfield ’ s new Himalayan based scrambler , the Scram 411 is almost here , with pricing announced ahead of the bike ’ s arrival . The Scram 411 is expected to arrive in New Zealand and Australia in late June , with pricing set to start from $ 8290 for the base Graphite colour options . The price then moves to $ 8390 for the mid-range colour options and tops out at $ 8490 for the two premium colours . The bike still uses the same LS-410 engine , frame , suspension and fuel tank from the Himalayan , but Royal Enfield has tweaked the design to give the Scram 411 a more urban feel . The navigation tower and windscreen have been replaced in favour of a metal headlight cowl , with a Tripper navigation pod now sitting alongside a single all-in-one analogue / digital main gauge . Power remains the same as the Himalayan , while the biggest change to the chassis is the switch to a 19-inch front wheel . Royal Enfield says the move to the smaller front wheel is in line with the Scram 411 ’ s more urban focus , yet doesn ’ t give away too much capability when the road gets rough . To Himalayan riders , the rider triangle is familiar , with the handlebars for the Scram set slightly lower than the Himalayan . The seat , however , has been specially tailored for the Scram and now consists of a single bench seat with ribbed stitching . Royal Enfield claims to have spent a lot of time perfecting the comfort of the new seat to allow plenty of time in the saddle for riders .
