Part adventure-lite and part city slicker , Kawa ’ s Versys-X has that little bit of something special .

Of course , the first thing to occur after leaping aboard Kawasaki ’ s new entry into the sporty 300 market , was a letter from the law advising that I owed them money . Given that I was out beyond Kumeu , and heading along some lovely winding roads and under the limit by what I assumed was about 5-6 kph , I was annoyed to receive this . But the Versys-X is such a cheery little motorcycle , I soon forgot about it and considered it a sort of ‘ tax on joy ’, grasped at by a punitive local administration . Look I have been corrupted by raw power in recent months with close to 200 horses at the command of my right wrist , and never received a ticket , but … I digress . Sorry . Anyway , the Kawasaki 300 Versys-X is a fun bike .
