Perhaps the hardest thing for any motorcycle reviewer is to get rid of preconceptions when forming and imparting opinions , but , of course , it ’ s valueless without experience . So , balance and a certain restraint is called for . I ’ ll do my best . Aprilia has been delivering large capacity superbikes since the late nineties and have had success and mixed results from time to time , especially when competing against teams with larger budgets . However , the RSV4s of the last few years have held their heads high , and continue to do so . The recent introduction of the RS660 into the superbike family followed a trend that many manufacturers have been following – feeding into and picking up on the huge desire for fast , lighter bikes , headlined by Moto2 . It makes 47.6hp ( 35kW ) and 43.5Nm ( 32lbft ) of torque at 159kg dry , and it ’ s certainly a very quick and lightweight machine . Racing pedigree was built in from the very start , the bike was designed to fit the European A2 license regulations , ( similar to LAMS ) but
