A PILLION ’ S PERSPECTIVE It ’ s really quite comfortable to sit on the back of the Tiger . I like the elevated seating position , which seemed a bit disconcerting at first as I was coming from the back of a bike with quite a flat seat , where I have to look to the side for a view because the rider ’ s helmet obscures the forward view . This stepped seat made me feel a little vulnerable to start with , but once I got used to it I think I now prefer it as I ’ m able to just look around as we ride . The adjustable screen / fairing thing works best for me in the highest position . In the low position there ’ s quite a lot of force on my head from the wind , but that disappears when it ’ s in the up position . Ben keeps putting it down when we ’ re in town to make it easier for him to see , so I ’ ve had to remind him a few times to pop it up , which seems easy enough - he just has to lift it - even when riding . As I said before I ’ m not really used to the riding position and have found my bum has started to feel a little numb after about an hour and a half . I ’ ve only been on the back a couple of times for any amount of distance , so I don ’ t know if it ’ s because I ’ m not used to the riding position yet , I ’ ll figure it out at some point I ’ m sure . So far I ’ m really enjoying being out on it and am looking forward to some longer weekend trips . TARA PAPWORTH
