HIGHLIGHTS It would be fair to say that the epic view from
Mount Patriarch at the end of the track is the main highlight . At 1458 meters in altitude , you can see for miles down the Wairau Valley , and out to the surrounding mountain ranges – it ’ s impressive . However , there are many other vistas along the way that could rightly stake their claim as highlight contenders . For example , the view out over Lake Chalice is a doozy , and so too is the view over the Goulter River Valley . As for the riding highlights , the mixture of terrain , plus all the twisties and switchbacks , makes this a ton of fun to ride .
