After public consultation as part of a policy review into dogs in the area , the Waipā District Council has named the former site of the Cambridge Motorcycle Club ’ s Rowling Place motocross track as an off-leash dog park . Since the club ran its last meeting dogs were previously allowed on the site on a leash . The Cambridge Motorcycle Club held its last meeting at the track in November of 2021 after a tumultuous few years which included the death of a spectator at the track in May 2016 .
