F ollowing on from another highly successful year in the AMA SX and Pro Motocross series , KTM has launched its latest factory replica for the next model year . And as always , there ’ s plenty of hot refinements straight from the factory riders themselves . “ Riders still cannot get more ‘ READY TO RACE ’ than with our new KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION ”, claims KTM ’ s Senior Product Manager Joachim Sauer . “ We knew the bike had to look the part for 2021 , but we also wanted to keep all the same special technical details that place this model as one of the flagships of our range . Its credentials are proven .” Visually , the 2021 450 SX-F Factory Edition is almost identical to the Red bull KTM Factory Racing bikes raced by Cooper Webb and Marvin Musquin with a direct performance link to the works bikes coming in the form of the classic KTM orange frame , Factory wheels , Factory triple clamps anodised in orange , a composite skid plate , a Hinson clutch cover and an orange rear sprocket . The spec list also includes an Akrapovič silencer , KTM ’ s Factory start holeshot device , the semi-floating front brake and the disc guard . New for 2021 is the inclusion of KTM ’ s Connectivity Unit , which now comes as standard and is integrated onto the new bar pad . This means the handy myKTM App can be synced immediately between the rider ’ s smartphone and their new bike all without the need of any additional parts expense at the dealership . Through the use of the myKTM app , riders can customise engine settings , while the app also offers suspension recommendations to help fine tune the WP suspension all through a few easy menu options and smartphone swipes . As per the norm , KTM will only be building the new Factory Edition machines in limited numbers , with the 20 bikes earmarked for New Zealand expected to arrive in March 2021 .
