ELECTRONIC PACKAGE Electronics feature large and the list of acronyms is serious on the F900R . DTC , DBC , ABS Pro , EBC , ESA , then there ’ s shift-assist and a LED safety adaptive headlight with separate elements that shine an extra seven degrees into corners when cornering , for improved vision . The system works and is noticeable at times , but I wouldn ’ t say it ’ s a game changer – spot lights are better in my opinion . The acronyms basically cover varying lean angle traction control and braking control and electronically adjustable suspension , on the top model only . It ’ s all impressive stuff that works well without being too intrusive and certainly aiding safety . The traction control can be turned off , but not the ABS . The 900 ’ s dash has an impressively large 6.5-inch TFT screen with multiple screen options and makes for intuitive information access . It can link with your smart phone with map , music and calling choices as standard . The start is via a push button which is activated by the fob in your pocket – I love this system ; you can completely forget about key use .
NEW CHASSIS The steel bridge chassis and steel sub-frame are all new for this year . The wheelbase is almost the same as on the 800 prior , but the steering head angle
