KAWASAKI ANNOUNCES DISTRIBUTION CHANGE

In what has come as a shock to the local industry , Kawasaki Japan has announced that the New Zealand distribution of the brand is set to change on April 1 , 2024 . This will see the New Zealand distribution of Kawasaki Motorcycle , Side x Side and watercraft Products becoming the responsibility of Kawasaki Australia . The current distributor of Kawasaki in New Zealand , Lyntec Holdings Ltd , has been the steward of the brand since 1988 , with the current owners The Verhoeven Group taking over Lyntec Holdings from Mike Wilkins in 2017 .

Lyntec Holdings Ltd will continue to supply Kawasaki products to the New Zealand market until March 31 , 2024 . In a statement released to the media , Lyntec Holdings attributed the change in local Kawasaki distribution to their success in the New Zealand market . “ As one of the largest privately-owned distributors for Kawasaki products globally , we are honoured that we have grown Kawasaki in New Zealand to a level that it is now deemed successful enough to be run through a subsidiary of Kawasaki Motors Japan .”
