The Aprilia RS457 was unveiled at EICMA 2023 , and simultaneously , the Racing Trophy Kit was also revealed , which allows the RS457 to be transformed into a racing bike . The kit will be accessible to everyone , allowing young riders an easy and low cost entry into the world of racing . The Racing Trophy Kit includes a racing ECU , an exhaust system developed in collaboration with SC Project ( Aprilia Racing ’ s MotoGP partner ), a racing air filter by Sprint Filter , a Plastic Bike fairing kit with fibreglass tank cover and tail section , as well as racing switches and buttons by Jet Prime . The Aprilia RS457 ’ s main strengths include its lightness , boasting the best power-to-weight ratio possible for a motorcycle suitable for a LAMS license , as well as easy handling and full tech features . The RS457 is powered by a liquid-cooled , parallel-twin engine with a double overhead camshaft and four valves per cylinder , putting out 35kW ( 46.9hp ) of power . Weight is 159kg dry , partly thanks to the use of an aluminium stressed member frame , along with adjustable suspension . Electronic equipment is comprehensive , with a Ride by Wire throttle , three riding modes , ABS , and adjustable and disengageable traction control . While local pricing is yet to be confirmed , the RS457 can be pre-ordered now , with deliveries expected for the New Zealand market in September .
